WHAT IS PEACE IN POC?
COVID-19 has ushered in a new wave of discrimination towards Asian Americans. It has also allowed for the exposure of injustice against other communities. However, these painful moments have been met with widespread support with a notable movement being Run With Ahmaud. In light of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Month and the discrimination minorities face daily, the Peace in People of Color (POC) campaign aims to demonstrate minority unity.
SUBMIT YOUR ART!
For POC, post a photo or an artwork of yourself or your family in traditional wear, from any time. If not, post a photo or an artwork Tag 3 of your friends and use the hashtags #peaceinpoc and #minority.
Artworks & photos created by POC for this campaign will be featured in a special space next to our exhibition, "Community During Crisis".
Tag us @artvocacyorg or DM us on Instagram to be featured!
Highlighting the gender inequity within the realm of sports, as the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games draw near, this full exhibition on Girl Up's initiative "Sports for a Purpose" will be coming soon! Be on the lookout for general submission opportunities to the public.
ArtVocacy's Open Gallery is an all-inclusive, ongoing collective of artworks on any social issue, by any artist, and at any time of the year. Artworks will be featured primarily on our social media as they emerge (alongside a space in our web gallery).
